Jason Wouhra

Director of East End Foods plc and Regional Chair of Institute of Directors (IoD)

Jason is Director and Company Secretary of family owned East End Foods, which is one of the UK’s largest ethnic food manufacturing businesses. The Birmingham based company has depots in Digbeth, Aston, Smethwick and West Bromwich with current production and operation space amounting to equivalent of over 100 football pitches. The business employs 400 staff and has current turnover of £200 million.

Jason has been Director and Company secretary at East End Foods for over fifteen years. In addition to his responsibilities Jason is currently Chair of the Institute of Directors WM, Non-Executive Director of University Hospital Birmingham Foundation Trust (Queen Elizabeth Hospital), Development Board member at Aston University and Co-Chair of Birmingham Child Poverty Action Forum. He has previously been Vice Chair of the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership (BCLEP) and CO-Chair of the Library of Birmingham Advisory Board.

Holding a BA in Law with Business Studies, Masters in Commercial Law; Jason was the youngest person ever to have qualified for IoD Chartered Director and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Aston University in 2014 for his services to Business and Charitable causes both regionally and nationally.
