Diane Kemp is Professor of Broadcast Journalism at Birmingham City University. She had a career in radio and TV current affairs before becoming an academic. She maintains links with journalism by running several postgraduate programmes in that field and by being deputy Chair of the UK’s Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC).
Diane is a consultant with the Council of Europe and has worked on a number of projects in the field of Diversity and Inclusion within journalism in Europe. She is on the Central Television diversity committee and is a facilitator with Birmingham Partners, which exists to connect silos to solve problems across the city.
